34. Rebecca Spit / Heriot Bay

Our day is hanging Heriot Bay, Rebecca Spit, and of course the Heriot Bay Inn - a great favorite. Heriot Bay Inn has laundry, so we ran a number of loads. The Pub upstairs makes for a pleasant way to pass the time whilst waiting for loads to be done! The Tru Value store is a short walk up the main road and well stocked - good for catching up on supplies. They drove our groceries back down the road to save us the short walk, and even walked a few bags down the docks with us to the dinghy. Excellent service!

We pulled the dinghy up on the spit and walked Rebecca Spit. Nice to get a few miles in after being on the boat for so many day. It is always a great spot and worth a visit. The sheer volume of driftwood piled up on the exposed side is amazing - I expect the winter SEerlys must really something.

Close to the light where there is less driftwood!

Being back down south in warmer water we went for a swim off the back of the boat. First one for a while. Nice!
