04. Fury Cove / Penrose Island Marine Park

Moon over Fury Cove

We hang in Fury Cove for the day and - after some routine maintenance on the running gear - enjoy the beautiful surrounding. The island makes for great exploring via kayak and hanging in the sun. There is an old small cabin (I assume for kayakers) on Fury Island itself. The middens / beaches are lovely. There are lots of postings about how great Fury Cove is - and they are all accurate!

We decide to rev up the dinghy and explore the Marine Park and surroundings. We run through the absolute maze of rocks, islets, and islands through to Klaquaek Channel, Rivers Inlet and back. There are an enormous number of anchorages throughout, and it looks like a paradise for dinghy and kayak exploring. One could spend a week around here alone.

It is a lot more confusing to get through than it looks here!
