We were shooting for the famous pig roast at Echo Bay. We upped anchor from Kwatsi at 1:00 and set out in the rain.
There were still many dolphins around the bay from the morning and some came over to bow-surf the trawler on the way out. Very cool.
We had spoken to Pierre (ie 'Echo Bay Pierre') via cell a few days before about the pig roast and he simply said to check again on Saturday. When passing Echo Bay we called to confirm but now there was no more room - shame. We anchored in Shoal Harbour at 2:50. Shoal Harbour is a great all-weather anchorage with lots of room.
The rain really started to bucket down. We turned on the heaters and watched movies for the night!
