We had arranged to rendevous with friends in Malaspina Inlet but could not miss the opportunity to hit Mansons Landing. We dropped a lunch-hook at 11:35 but were surprised at the number of boats wedged in the bay. Certainly not like the 80's! We counted over 30 boats not including those on the docks. We had to anchor in 70' of water with only 130' of rode. Good thing we have a new generation/heavy anchor. Happily there was another Gulf Commander close by. They said they would keep an eye on the boat whilst we went onshore.
We walked the lagoon at low tide - always a treat and the best place for sand dollars and shells we have ever seen. Great tide-pool exploring. We then walked 10 minutes up the road for the required swim in Hague lake and chilling on the sandy beach. On the way back we took the trail instead of the road. Accessed from the back of the car parking lot it drops down to the head of the Lagoon for a nice walk around the lagoon perimeter back to the dock. At high tide some sections might be a bit dodgy but we were fine.

We upped anchor at 3:00 pm for a short hop to Malaspina Inlet. A bit of attention is required around Josephine Islands and the rocks but nothing too daunting. Around the corner into Isabel Bay and then the small nook behind Madge Island. We rafted at 5:30 beside some friends who had arrived early and secured a perfect spot. We took stern lines ashore as it is too tight to swing. A great little anchorage which we were lucky to get - given the season and how busy it was.
